yfz smooth power? rough power?

ok im wondering is the power smoother or rougher then a z 400's also is the power smoother or rougher than a 03 polaris predator with pure polaris pipe ( e series in this case ) any help is appreciated

My "opinion" is it is probably a little rougher than a z400, it hits harder and there is more of it. The later model yfz's probably make more power than the early years but they are suposed to be a little smoother.

ok dude, you should stop asking these ridiculous questions and just get a yfz.... this is the third post on "how a yfz is" as far as being stable to do doughnuts, smooth power or rough power, and how well it does wheelies??? Save yourself a lot of typing and go ride one.......whats going to be your next post, how comfortable the handgrips are on a yfz compared to every other atv out there...on the other hand it is good entertainment to read your posts.......:huh

The power style of the Pred, Z400 and YFZ are all pretty smooth. The YFZ has a little more than the pred and both have more than the Z400. Just go ride one and your questions will be asked.

03 was a bad year with preds i would stay away from them.

the YFZ has a nice hit... it has a 2 stroke LIKE powerband, which is one of the reasons why i bought it... it was the closest i could get to my 250r...

i understand that after doing the cam mod it hits even harder...

out of the 450r, ltr450, and yfz450, the yfz has be far the hardest hit, and the next to the hardest hit is a ways behind it...

It was no worse than the 03 Z400's or 04 YFZ's, Just first year model bugs that had to be worked out. The only reason I wouldn't buy an 03 is that it doesn't come with reverse and the newer ones do.

yah but the z400s and yfzs got better... well, the yfzs did anyhow ;)

only problem our 04 yfz had was just had a water pump replaced, otherwise, nothing.
