im guessing the ltr- 250 will beat 300ex and blasters, engine and suspension. Its and ama has there own 250 class or something like that for 2008, its going to be pretty cool

I bet it would run with 450's if set up properly, it shouldn't be any different than 250 and 450 bikes. Those 250 four pokers crank!

Sure they can. Why do you think YZ 125s , CR 250s and all those other 2 strokes are still out there. Snowmobiles are still running 2 strokes . 2 stroke outboard motors , 2 stroke lawn mowers .

The main reason for the 4 strokes is the emissions . Why should companies spend millions on R&D to have 2 strokes meet emission requirements , when they can just use 4 stroke technology that's already out there and that passes emissions testing .

Also the majority of consumers want reliability with as little maintenance as possible . Most everyone just wants to add gas , check the oil and ride .

mark my words....they can still produce a 2 stroke, and the 2 stroke motor will come back...:D

They are already developing 2 strokes that polute LESS then 450s. Look at ski doos new 800....162 hp, in the lightest 800 ever made...once everyone buys those and not the new 4 jokes, itll turn the whole sled market around, and eventually that kind of technology will go into dirt bikes and quads...outboard motors and sled market is generally ahead of the dirt bike and quad market.

I dont think so,thats why the Banshee will no longer be made after 2007,this is the four stroke era now 2-strokes are dead to the production lines for the simple reason of emissions and any ways now a days 4-strokes are just as fast any how and put out less emissions thats what the govt is loking for,on the other hand you can still race them and ride them its just that they are not going to be produced after 2007 in the us.

They could make 2-stroke's if the stupid NEO-2 stroke nazi's (a.k.a. Tree Huggers) didin't come for them like Hitler. They still could make'em they would just have to pass EPA Standards which they could easily do. I really don't see whats stoping them. Prolly the more visible polution that comes from 2 strokes. and yes i saw the quad mag write up it was just a lt450 that they P.S.'ed with a 250r logo. Still sounds like a cool bike. bet you could make one with a rmz motor and a lt450r chassis. And yes it will prolly rip. I really like where atv's are going i could see the sport progressing to the level of Dirtbikes in the future(maybe not near but none the less) :)
