shims

where can i buy individual shims for intake valves, i dont want to spend 60-80 on a shim kit when all i need is one shim for one of the intake valves. I dont have that kind of money to spend anyhow, thanks.

Your local Honda dealer. Individual shims might seem to cost more money at the Honda dealer, and they do when you figure it out, but also take into consideration that the Honda shims are a hardened piece, where as the Hotcams shim kits only have a hardened coating. Just some food for thought.

what do you think they'll run individually? round $5 a piece or so? thanks

I cant recall how much they were, but I think they might have been a little more than that even, something like $8 a piece, but dont hold me to it. I know after my buddy had bought 3 or 4 of them we decided it was ridiculous for him to NOT by the hotcams shim kit, him and another buddy went halves on it.
