Cooling fan?

Has anyone tried to install a fan for the oil cooler like a radiator fan? Did it help? I had a guy that works for Pivot Works tell me to do it before I look into spending alot of money on a larger oil cooler. Any thoughts?

I had a cooling fan of a yfz i hooked it up to the battery to make sure it worked first before hardwiring it in, it worked fine, so i mounted it in, got it wired up, turned on for 3 seconds and blew up, im wondering trhe samething i imagine it'd work, i wanna run a cooling fan myself just for the feeling i have extra cooling power in the heat this summer.

I tried running a cooling fan on my oil cooler. I used a little computer fan that you get from radio shack. I had it wired in with the lights on low beam. I could not notice a difference but it had to be doing something. The fan did not last very long before it stopped working due to not being sealed from dirt and water. Maybe if you got one that moved more air , small enough and was sealed it should work. It has to do something.

Well I just bought one off ebay for $25.00 (FOR ATV) I'll let you know how it works!!!

you can get a cbr 1100 oil cooler and hook it up for less then $50

here it is i have done it on my ex build i haven't used it yet though so i don't know how much it helps

all you have to do is make a exstension on 1 line and bend the other

you could get a line from a parts store maybe or get one maid if you can't do it yourself

yeah this one has 7 lines of fins and the stocker has 4 plus it is like 4 inches wider

here is one that should work you would have to bend the lines mor and i think this one is even bigger!
