The KTM LC4 and 560 2-strokes also have the chain on the right side. Just like the older Husqvarna's and Husaberg.

Having the chain on the right side add's about 2-3 HP on the rear wheels.

That's only if the exhaust is on the left.

Do the brakes and shifter stay the same? That would be way to wierd to get used to shifting with the right foot.

Some Husaberg's

Yeah, it's not really that big of a deal either. So what if it's on the opposite side. It accomplishes the same exact task.

Even "mainstream" manufactures have had right side drive chains. The 81' - 84' Honda ATC250R also had a right side drive chain as did the Honda CR480. Those are the two that come to mind but I'm sure there are others.

Cross the BMW 450 engine off the list as possible power plants, then.

can you back up the fact of gaining 2-3 hp just by putting the chain on the right side?

I do believe it was a joke.

Kind of the same thing as the "Stickers add HP" joke.

It actually has to do with the gravitational force of the sun in combination with the minor gravitational pull we get from Jupiter, its all physics my friend.

Yes you are correct, but remember you also have to factor in the time of year, where Jupiter is in relation to you and the time of day (rather you are riding towards the sun or away from it). Based off of these calculations you will know which direction you have to be running to gain the 2-3 horsepower, do the calculations wrong and race in the wrong direction and you will lose 2-3 horsepower.
