I just had my 310R engine rebuilt by ESR and they bored it out to a 350R. I got it back from them and tested it out and it seems as if it just wants to die out when I give it gas. I'm running 110 octane with Amsoil Intimidator oil mix. I don't know if I need a bigger carb or what? It has a Keihin carb on it now but I don't know what size it is. It's at the shop now and my mechanic said the carb that's on it might just need to be re-jetted. I had it at the Honda dealership and they put a 160 main, 50 pilot in there and that's just not getting the job done. I live ride in East Dublin, Ga so I don't know what exactly to use in this area. Any ideas on what might be a good carb to go to with when using a powerful big bore like I have now?

Thanks 4LEAFCLOVER

I'm running a 39mm PWK on my Duncan 370PV motor.

Yeah I was looking in to that one. I'm actually leaning towards getting that one. How does that one work? Is it real responsive to the throttle action? Because whatever size this one is that is on it now, I'm getting no throttle response.

dude tell me your not being serious about a 160 main with a 350?!?!? Holy ****...im suprised you didnt toast that thing yet...Im running a 187 main with my ported 265, and I ran a 200 main when I had my 310...with a 350 you should atleast be around 210-220 for a main jet...wow Im in shock you didnt burn the rings up yet.

It's all about air to fuel mixture. I thought the same thing when tuning my 350PV motor and started with a 210 main, ended with a 172 and dropping the needle one, just as the factory recommended. Eleveation also has alot to due with it as well as pipe. So just because one setup works for one, its not the same for all.

I didn't even ride it that long. I was thinking since it came from the dealership I would of been good. But I got it home and realized that wasn't going to work. So I took it to another shop and we are trying to figure out the size of the carb that's on it now. I think this 350 will be a beast once we figure out what carb to go with and what jetting it should be. That's the deal now. I'm new to this 2 stroke thing. I'm use to the four strokes. This burning up rings and stuff is just too much for me. These 2 strokes seem to be more pricey than the 4 strokes already.

They're not that bad once you get the little bugs worked out...you'll love that 350 once you get it dialed in right.
