has anybody used the HIFLOFILTRO OIL FILTERS? i have tried the k&n oil filter and had no issues and want to try other brands to to get the best value for a fair price. i don't mind spending the $7.00 for the honda filter at my dealership, but if i can find a cheaper filter with the same quality...then all the better for me...

any feedback on these or any other brand of filters would be appreciated...

thanks,
speedy

the K&N filter and the Hi Flotro filters are made by the same company, and even share part numbers (I have both sitting right here for my YFZ and 400EX)

I ran them in my 400ex and now my YFZ.......no probs here. I ran amsoil oil and changed it every 2 rides or approximately 10 hours. ;)

I used a Fram oil filter only because thats all Advanced Auto had in stock and I needed it right then and there. No complaints it was cheaper than most you see on RMATV or Motosport and with shipping them its not worth it unless you have to buy another item.

very true, i will go to napa. and pick one up. no reason to order it and pay more for shipping. i try to buy local any way. no need to order everything.

HAS ANYONE WITH A HONDA TRIED THE STAINLESS STEEL RE-USABLE FILTERS? IM NOT SURE WAT BRAND IT IS I KNOW HIGHLIFTER HAS AND I WAS GOING TO ORDER FOR MY 400EX BUT IM NOT SURE IF I LIKE THE IDEA OF RE-USING THEM. I WOULD RATHER JUST GET A BRAND NEW ONE EVERY TIME. AND I USE K&N FILTERS CUZ I CAN GET THEM CHEAP AND THEY WORK PRETTY GOOD. I ALSO USE STOCK FILTERS TO CUZ I WORK AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP SO I CAN GET THEM CHEAP TO.

just get a wix filter. they meet all standards in the filter industry and make them for alot of companies. if you get a filter from alot of auto parts stores its probably a wix. i use them in all my vehicles and thats all i use at work, and these things are going in six figure pieces of equipment. so needless to say i trust them and they are cheap.

I run a Scotts Performance Stainless Steal Oil Filter in my 416EX.

I've been running it now for nearly 2 years and haven't had to buy a replacement filter. It cost $70.00 but, lasts a lifetime and filters better than standard paper filter.
