400ex question

ok i have to ask this, i have had a 400ex for 3-4 years now and i love it, love the speed, love the power, but i have had reliability issues with it. it has had 1 rebuild, one top end rebuild on top of that, and i just threw out either my conecting rod, or my valves last week just havent had a chance to look at it at all, has anyone else had troubles with theirs? did i just get a bad egg?

After having a couple welds break, having to rebuild the engine, and a few other stuff... I'm wondering if I should just put about 2-3 Grand in this quad, or sell it and move onto a 450. I can't decide though.

i have a 99, only thing thats happened to mine is the stock studs pulled out because the 440 kit

I also have a '99, and have had no problems since I bought it. I am now running a pretty mild 440, and I am still running most of the same parts, like the clutch, since '99. When it was stock I couldn't have killed it if I wanted to!
