ok here's the situation. i went to mod the pilot screw on my stock carb so i could adjust it easier and i guess i screwed the threads up somehow. when i went to put the screw in it stripped the threads out inside the carb. i'm sooooo mad at myself for not checking it all out before i put it back together. (A costly mistake)

question is does anyplace sell just the stock carburator body? i don't need the full assembly just the body.

if i have to buy the full assy. it's almost 300 bucks and i know i can get an aftermarket carb for like around $400.

if i have to resort to that i was maybe thinking of an Edelbrock carb or maybe an FCR.

any suggestions?

no the aluminum threads stripped out inside the carb because the brass thread on the screw were messed up.

I don't think you can buy just the carb body. A used carb--stock, aftermarket, whatever you'd like--is probably your best bet.

i figured out what's goin on. my dad checked out the carb today and said that the threads were fine and that somehow i bent the screw and that's what was making it feel wierd when i screwed it in. he straightened it and it went right in.
