I have a 87 250x. I want it to rev quick but have more power. I was thinking of getting a port & polish, 3 angle valve job, +1 mm valves, hot cams camshaft, lightend flywheel, and bore it over a little. Tell me what you think or any more ideas on how to get more power.
Thanks.

I think that sounds like a lot of money to put into a 250X.

Get rid of them balloon tires in the back and throw some nice 20's on there , or even stock 400ex tires and you will notice a difference right there. But if you wanted some more power just got with like a little more compression piston and a hotcam or something and you will notice alot. maybe even alittle different gearings on the front sproket , i forget what people used to put on the 250x and 300 ex. Good luck

Oh and get some stock heal guards or some nerfs man. For safety .

I'm getting nerfs soon. I was thinking about doing all of that stuff cause it has not been rebuilt in at least maybe 7 years.

vesrah connecting rods are real strong. Their products are good imo.
but the availability of KibbleWhite valves would be better to choice imo.
A while back before 400EX's were manufactured we use to bore 250X's. That was then....
