My night of drag racing, beer and women

We were out late last night drag racing at our normal place. $$ is starting to get involved with some idiots as bets as to whos quad is fastest. All types of quads though. The drag strip is a hard packed old bean field and about 100 yds. long. There wa a modified lt250 Suzuki that was kicking everyones butt including mine. He spanked me three times by about 4 to 5 quads. There was also a pretty fast Banshee and a souped up z450 that kicked butt. Overall I had a good night. No stock quads could get within 3 to 4 lengths. I was really disapointed by the performance of a DS650 baja. A piped z400 and a 416EX beat him over and over again. He left and was pretty peved. A couple of older guys maybe 40 to 45 years old pulled up in a beater junk of a truck pulling a hunk of crap trailer hauling a mint lt500 and a mint Dale Blaze. They pulled them off and just putzed around. I thought the guy with the lt500 would race me but he said the carnage would be to gruesome when he beat me. We got into a bit of a heated discussion and I told him to race me or fight me. I was kidding with him but they left. It was just funny seeing fifteen thousand dollars in two quads being pulled by a couple hundred dollar truck and trailer.

Sweet...How'd the banshee do? Cuz I know that a modded Banshee will just walk all over anything if it can keep the front wheels on the ground...:devil

how hard packed is the bean field? Does it have a layer of dust on it?

Yeah, I've heard some really REALLY good things about those Z's with the 453 kit in them. There's a guy over on z400central.com who's got one. There are a couple of 440's over there too. Man, I wish I wasn't so darn broke. Oh well, good to know I've got a good start. Have fun w/those drags man, sounds like a hella good time. Gonna have to get some of those started around these here parts.
