Can some one tell me the torque specs and the order for the head bolts on the yfz. I also need the torque specs and the order for the cam journals. Thanks.

The head bolts on the yfz are Torque to Yield (thats why they recomend replacing them every time you remove the head, plus they are fairly cheap). You don't torque them to a specific setting.

You really need to find and download a service manual on the net, they are out there and they are free.

To do the head bolts you...

First off the order is:

No. 1 Back of motor on shifter side (near intake valves)
N0. 2 Front of motor on rear brake pedal side (exhaust vavles)
No. 3 Front of motor Shifter Side
No. 4 Back of motor Brake pedal side.

Apply oil or moly lube to bolts and washers before you begin.

First tighten all four bolts in order to 30nm (22 ft lbs).

Loosen them, take them out and re-oil them.

Tighten them in order to 20nm (14 fl lbs)

Leave them tight and do the following.

Mark each bolt with a marker so you can tell how much you are about to turn it.

Turn each bolt (in order) 90 degrees.

Tighten each bolt 90 degrees again to get to 180 degrees total from where you started.

Your done.

For the cam journals start at the outside and criss cross to the inside. The torque is 10 nm (7.2 ft lbs)

I recomend highly making sure you have a torque wrench that will go that low to do the job. Don't just do it by feel.

Good Luck.
