How much oil should I pour in my Outlaw?????

Should i follow the manual on how much oil to pour in? it does not make any sence my little glass window is full when cold and the level goes down 3/4 when running. I have not changed the oil yet..... please help. This is for my Outlaw 525 :confused:

You have too much in it on level you should just see a little bit of oil

JUST OVER ONE QUART. AND I MEAN JUST, MAYBE 1-2 OZ.
