Need some help with my pipe?

I have got a full White Brother's e-series with 12 discs. I have seen on here that people are running with 6 or 7 discs? Is this going to help any if I do this? Will it affect the sound (louder)? The only modifications I have are the full pipe and K&N. Should I leave it alone or go down to 7 or 6?

i would suggest going down to 8 discs. it will quiet it down some, not alot though. 12 discs is too much on a stock motor. i got my low end back with 8.i have the same system and that is what i ran. i just ordered a 416 so i put the 12 back on. i would also go to a 152 main. i ran a 155 and it was too rich. i am in pa at abouy sea level

take out all the discs and it will be really loud and u will have some ***** kicking top end:devil
