i just thought about sommething...they only made 08 450mxrs and 08 sra's in one plastic style one year, then they switched...those will be really rare in 20 or so years. i would not sell it, could be worth good money...just a thought.

The 450 and the 525irs only came in one color in 08. The 525s came in 3. The red/white, white, and the LE black. But neither will be worth any money in the long run. :macho

Also, did yours come with the Fox Podium resevoir shocks up front? I thought those were only available on the LE model for 2008??

Thanks guys! I was not a fan of the Outlaw graphics.

When I bought this it was the red Outlaw. I wanted a white one, but none where in stock. Luckily the dealer had a set of new take off whites from the bike they set up for racing here. So, got lucky and the dealer swapped them out for no charge! Then as I was looking around at the take off parts bin, the Fox Podiums where in there and he swapped them out free of charge as well!!! :D :D

They are Kenda K-549/548 Radials. I had them on my DS and just swapped them over. I ride sandy desert and these work very well! I really like, as they have kind of a paddle effect in the soft sand.

all 06 450r's, yfz450's, KTM 525/450's, and outlaws have them. The quad you got also has a 8/06 cam which really kills the low end. i had to tune my carb in quite a bit. Did yours come with the big bore carb? Mine had a stocker on it.

Not sure the jetting specs on yours so cannot help you much and do not want to get off topic.

actually this outlaw has all kinds of engine work done to it, not sure what but daryl rath the guy i bought it from and the pro quad racer said that 110 octane minimum for it so if that tells you anything.

How are those heelguards i was thinking about buying a set. i put my foot through the plastic ones

If your talking to me i love my nerfs with those heelguards, the nerfs are the rath monster style footpeg the footpeg is like a footlong and has amazingly sharp teeth very nice well worth the money i think there like 460 for monster footpeg nerfbar and heel guard. and come in pc'd black or brushed aluminum (i think) you can go to rathracing.com if you want to check and are interested.

The heel guards are much better then the stock plastic ones. The only thing with them is that I wear a size 12 boot and notice my heel hitting the back of them alot more then the plastic ones.

My new 2008 Outlaw that i raced once and i cased it on a double and all these pictures are from the day before its almost all fixed up i just bent the axle, bent the front rotor, busted the front right rath hub, and bent the spindle and broke all my plastics ha. And im a C class rider i ant nothing good. MY first year this year. But here ya are.

Yes, we got it in April, from his race shop in hutch, were going to be getting its twin soon, I cant wait! Rath builds the best quads ever and everything he makes is exactly perfect.

The Maiers are definitely stronger, thicker, and better built than the oem's- I had cracks in my originals within a month and after a month and several hard rides, there is absolutely NO show of wear with the new ones. Although they are not a direct 'bolt-on'- they use a number of adapter brackets that actually make the fenders less flimsy. I took a chance on the extra $ but had to go with the carbon fiber look- and no regrets. The actual non-carbon Maiers are not much more than what my dealer wanted for the oem's.

We are a Race Tech center and have worked hand and hand with their ATV engineer for years. I have seen what makes every shock on the market work and I like the Race Tech shock. The high and low speed adjusters have a 30% range from open to close with about five full turns of tuning ( this is by far the largest range I have seen). As with any shock setup is key we have been helping with valving and spring tuning and development since we received the first set ever made at the Heartland 10hr Challenge last year and I am confident that The ride quality of the Race Tech shocks when setup are the best in the industry. The Fox shocks are OK They too can work well. The customer service at Race Tech is much better and you can actually call and speak to the guy that builds your shocks.

Ordered directly from Maier and they cost me around $650 for the set with shipping. I only ordered the front and rear fender cab sets and the front replacement hood.

I just sent you an email...well i was on the website at C&D and sent an email there. My brother crashed his outlaw pretty hard. He is happy I made him get a good chest protector and helmet as he walked away with out a scratch. well his outlaw hit a huge tree and did fairly well comparing to the size of tree it took out and now we need some new shocks. Maybe even front and back depending on price. Check the emails and let me know. I like the race tech's shocks too. I wish I could afford them right now. Oh well I got to save up.

LOL, the customer service at FOX sucks because I got some A-hole who told me "we don't let anyone work on our shocks" I wish he would have bought MY shocks back so I could buy someone else who was not a jerk. My shock Sponsor is fully capapble of working on the Fox Float evols and this guy was just an arogant........I could go on and on.

On the other hand, I have talked to Colby on the phonae and he sounds to be a good guy, talked tech with me and I did not even spend a dime. Some guys don't even want to bother with you unless your spending money. C&D is on my list of buyers just because of that one phone call.

Hey 525outlaw thanks, i love the tt one to, at first i didnt like the white plastic and now i love it, and i especially love the cut off fenders. It's not near as clean looking in person these pictures make it look really nice, alot of the stuff is pretty worn on it especially the nerf bars and the plastic is all scretched and rub brown in some areas. But thanks for liking them both man!

those are 'wicked products' a-arms (for sale).....good product, but my personal feeling and the way i ride, they are just TO narrow. I have since swithced to Lonestar Racing 'sport +1,+1' series and it seems to really have make my quad come alive. I race XC so i have messed with a lot of things and combinations and you just have to find what works for YOU!!. I have spent a lot of money listening to 'use this' or 'use that' but....i dont know, its just personal preference and how you ride. They way my quad sits now, it is 48" wide front and back, maybe a tad little to wide for XC but it finally handles really good. I found that getting more narrow still didnt help me thru the tight stuff because i still slowed down so much to get thru it, i decided to go with a 'square' 48" all the way around and it handle great and i still go the same speed thru the real tight stuff anyways so i guess in a way i gained when it is all said and done :). Like i said, personal choice and i also have a day job and need to make sure i am there on monday morning....LoL. i will post some new pics soon.

to be honest i do not remember what stock width was....but the Wicked a-arms narrowed the front to 43" +/- (that measurment was taken outside to outside of Razr2). i used stock shock lenghts wich i am sure contributed to the problem of me not liking that set up. Obviously the suspension was to 'upright' and uncomfortable.

Mike Dudas, at WWW.Alloutthrottle.com did the graphics. And as far as the shocks I have not been able to ride it yet, as I just finished the build and there is 10" of snow on the ground. He did my shocks on my 06 Predator and they were amazing, so I am going to go out on a limb and say I am sure these will ride the same.

This was a rally raid stage, mud very much. The total track length in this particular stage was 40km. the entire length of the period over 150km. On the quad is imposed DWT single beadlock wheels. mud flaps are made of the same:)

Here's my '09 Outlaw 450 MXR doing what it does best...race. This is me last sunday at a local XC race. This quad is awesome, best thing I ever rode in the woods.

My mods are:
DWT Champion in a Box wheels
GBC Race Rex tires all-round
ATV4Play Soft Bars
Precision Pro steering stabilizer
Pure Polaris front bumper
Pro Armour peg extenders
Baldwin Motorsports oil cooler
ODI grips

No motor mods, don't need them, this KTM keeps up with everybody elses modded motors all by itself.

Alright my 2010 build is on here and now my 2011 build. Here are some pics of the finished product. New shocks, completely new motor top and bottom end with head done, side mount exhaust and lowered the sub frame and Graphics and alot of little stuff.
