well...i'm crossing over

if everything goes good i'm bringing this hybrid home. its a 2003 prp yz445f with a roll front end. it was on the forum for sale 3 years ago and hasnt really moved ever since. the only problem i have with it is with the flip top fender mounts, if you have a prp fliptop quad post some pics of the flip top/rear fenders up on the quad. i'll take pictures of what i'm talking about whenever i bring it home. i also need a full chassis skidplate for it so i might be making one or trying a 250r skid to see how close it is to fitting

i'm going to swap over my fenders/shrouds/seat and handguards off my 250r then its up for sale. i already have a buyer lined up so hopefully i can get rid of it fast cause i have NO room as it is.

what don't u like about the flip top? i'll tell u one thing after awhile it becomes a pain in the arse flipping it up everytime u want to start it...

i like it but the part that goes through the grommet must of broken off and a piece was welded back on. i want to see what they originally looked like so i can compare. i dont ride enough to complain about flipping it up

My JRD was broken and re-welded also. Seems like a horrible idea in the first place to me. Convienent yet problematic. I'd rather have a normal type.

I had two PRP quads, an '04 and an '05 and with FullBore plastics you didn't even have to flip the seat up to start. Yea your boot would hit a little of the fender but it never was in the way too much to keep it from starting, course my motors always started first or second kick too!

this thing is such a blast, did a few laps around a track this morning and it was really impressive to me. revs so fast with all the motor work done to it and it was spot on jetting. i couldnt get the hang of starting the bike motor at first but i think i got it down now. too bad i don't have the room to keep both of these quads:(

if anyone has some pictures of a prp hybrid please send me pictures of the flip top so i can compare them to mine

edit: fyi dave at prp is 315-723-3475 or 315-942-5291 and the actual guy you call to get some parts is tony @ 315-337-6399 or view www.tigorracing.com. i'm going to just end up sending tony my subframe with flip top and hes going to fix it. he said to just get a skidplate made at a shop because it would cost me just the same for him to make me one too, just incase anybody with one of these was looking for a skidplate

Be careful sending your subframe and flip. It took me I think six weeks and several phone calls to get a set of a-arm bushings from Tigor, and they never did send my motor mounts that was ordered at the same time. Nor do I want them any more.
You still need pics even though you know mine is differant ?

Just trying to save you some head aches:grr:
