i bought a 2007 450er last july and i am having starter problems.i dont know if i have a 5 year warranty or not but i was looking at my papers and they charged me a 540.00 dollar service charge and i didn't know if a service contract charge was a warranty or not.the freakin electric start version sucks a**.thanks for your help:confused:

A lot of people have been taking them in for the starter problem even tho their bike was off warranty and had it fixed for free.

And a $600 service contract does sound like a warranty.

And how did they sneak and extra 600bux on ur bill w/o u even knowing what its for? :P

never really looked at the bill but i got to thinking about my starter and checked my papers and its added on the total.service contract charge.thanks man

they wont fix crap out of warrenty its probably the stater clutch not to hard to do...pull off the right side case and the clutch basket out....its like a 80 dollar part and they want 320 bucks plus to fix it...

Ive herd several cases where people got this fixed for free even out of warranty.

Its worth a shot anyway.

they fixed mine FREE (parts and labor) had the throttle/a arm recall all done at same time.

I only had the 6 month warranty
bought 2-06 repaired 3-07 (7 months out of warranty)

I have 3 honda atv's and 2 honda dirt bikes
HONDA HAS MY LOYALTY
