I have looked and am trying to find out what the differences between the years are?? I have heard that the 06/07 is an inch longer.. what would be needed to run an 06/07 on an 04/05 model?? would have have to run the newer linkage and shock as well??

Ya to put the 06/07 swinger on ur 04/05 u would have to use the new shock/link/swingarm all together.

Not sure but I think its 3/4" longer.

You dont have to change the linkage!! You will need a longer chain though. that is all. Future racer it is worth it if you do any serious hillclimbin. It is 3/4" longer. I have a 06 swinger for sale if anybody needs one.

im pretty sure you have to change the linkage as well, i do mx and had the 06 aftermarket linkage on the 04 swinger with an 06 shock. i went up a decently inclined take off ramp and bottom the frame due to the wrong linkage. i am almost positive EVERYTHING has to be switched over. linkage, shock, chain, swingarm........ if not, i hope the longer swinger solves this problem........
