06 piston refresh ???

I got an 06 and rode trail all last year and now im starting to race a little MX!!Just wondering what and how often these motors need refreshening!!!Like new piston and rings,cyclinder,etc...Also what can i do for more HP with the ER and not have starter problems.Like higher comp piston and stuff.All i have is the HRC kit...

Get your valves checked out. The 06 has titanium valves that wear out faster than stainless ones.

Make sure you do as stated above. You won't have any starting issues with a high compression piston

I had my stock piston in for a year, drag raced and hillclimbed up the big coalhills every weekend. I thought it would look pretty bad but it looked great. It showed very little wear, you could probly get more hours than you would think out of it before changing it. Yea and definatly change them ti valves!!
