I just picked up this Walker ZTR that was forsale locally. It has a new Kolher 20 hp engine, new spindles and shafts, blades, all new tires and wheels, extra oil, and it has a brand new seat.

Anybody else cut their lawn with a ztr of any type? Post some pics

I was crossed between the walker, a scag, or a bobcat... We decided to get the walker b/c of the grass collection system, and for the scag and bobcat it was like $1200 on top of the initial price of the machine...

Same here my man the thing has one of the fastest ground speeds and it cuts alsome!!!

As for the walker i have never seen one before, it looks alitle big but if it works for you thats great, how does the catcher system work? Do you have to dump the grass on the ground or what? Please learn me on these type of mowers.

Basicly right behind the deck there is a 10.5 inch vaccum that is propelled by a impeller that is run off the engine and it goes back into the catcher, then you just lift up the catcher and it dumps out of the back. they make special kits so you can get it to lift into the back of a pickup bed, from the side automaticly... This thing is supposed to have the best cut, due to the shaft driven blades, vaccum system, and front mounted deck. These thngs new are $13,000

Cool. How is it when in a tight area? Does it handle like any other Z mower?

Walkers are great machines what year is it ? Is it for residential use only ? What upgrades does it have I cant tell from the pics does it have the single wheel back tail ? Has the blower been upgraded to the new one if you ever do cut yards for a living you will want that and speed up kit . I have exmark ztr john deere 717 two toro walkbehinds one 52" on 36 " The deere is leaving the fleet for a new navigator . Word of advice on that walker if you are cutting leaves keep a fire extinguiser handy on it . Im not cracking a joke either leaves will fall onto exhaust when dumping be careful. If you are cutting alot of grass and its clogging change screen out the bigger holes . It does look like its got a 9.5 hopper so thats a plus what size is the deck 48" . The new ones here retail 11,900 with all the add ons but the speed kit and single rear wheel . And walker leaves best stripes in yard period except the middle wheel mark it kills me

we use gravley for the business and personal lawn. Used to use snapper and scag. All were great mowers except the snapper imo.

Its actually a 96, but is all redone, had only 1500 orginal hours, then a new engine like 50 hours ago.. Its a Model MT. The larges of them. It does have the double back wheels but i am looking to change it out to a single double wide tire. This thing cuts, and sucks everything out beautifully.
I will only be using it for residential use but may cut neighbors lawns to make a couple extra bucks..

The only extras it has are the fast trekkers, which btw came from walker, all new tires and wheels, new spindles and shafts, new blades, new battery, the alarm for the full thing has been rewired as a light that just blinks, and thatns about it...

I can mow about a 1/2 acre at my house in like 15 minutes flat....

if you only have 1/2 an acre of yard, dont u think this mower is a bit overkill?

absolutely not... lol I had a 38in before, and the lawn looked retarded with so many lines, if looks much cleaner now... I think its actually closer to an acre

never heard of walker. used to run a bobcat walk behind. that was nice. scag, toro, gravely, kabota are pretty popular with the pros around here.
