just bought a white brothers e series slip on muffler for my wifes 06 300 ex. it came from ebay i know thats my first mistake the guy i got it from said it would fit wrong answer. nor will it fit a05 400 ex. problem is it looks like a universal fit . it has a 1 3/4 open head pipe is 1 1/2 what can i do also not long anof

Sell it on EBay..... ha ha ha sorry about your loss but eBay's giting to be a rip off nowadays scams ,incorrect information not as described ect.... or bring it to a fabricator and.... Na sell it it will cost you more to make it fit that's my opinion though...
