Ok, so this weekend I get to go ride a Kawasaki KFX450R. I met a guy on KFX450central that i raced with and he was selling his kfx450 already, so I asked him about it and he said I could come over this weekend and ride the kfx450R. And I might buy it and I might not, if I do, I am going to sell my YFZ450 or trade it to him for a partial trade if he wants to. but I can't wait for this saturday. Anyone think a kfx450r would be better than a 04 yfz450?

Definately better than the 04 YFZ.

What exactly is so wrong about the '04?? I would be concerned why he is already selling. I can tell you one thing, it's not as fast as the Yamaha.

Nothing wrong with the 04 YFZ. But if you had to choose between an 04 YFZ that you already had, and a kawie 450, and you were in the market for a new bike, you can't beat the Kawie, other than price. The real only thing that sets it apart for me is the fact it has reverse. And I have always been a kawie fan. All the 450s are about equal. It is totally preference. Once the Kawie is around awhile and parts become availble and the bugs get tweaked, it will be awesome.

I have a KFX450R and bought it the first day it the dealer floor. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. Its a great quad and I'm also a huge Kawi fan, but you have to go with what you think will best for you. Anyways yes the yamaha is slightly faster in the top end but ain't nothing a sprocket can't change. But also if your a trail rider when will you ever hit your top end. The kawi is geared low for torque coming out of corners and turns.

GO TEAM GREEN........ LOL

The guy is selling his KFX450R already because he told me he doesn't like the feel of it on a mx track. He said it feels uncomfortable compared to a honda 450r. He is used to a honda 450r and he races a 2006 suzuki ltr450, and he is used to riding those quads, and the kawasaki 450 he said it doesn't feel right to him. So I replied to his post on kfx450central and asked him about it and he invited me to come over this weekend and ride the kawasaki kfx450r. He said he will ride his 04 honda 450r. So I am excited for saturday. But I think I am already leaning towards selling/trading my yfz450 for a kfx450r. I really like the look of the KFX450R in a mx set up with aftermarket plastics. So I am probably going to get rid of my yfz450 and get a kfx450r. I like it and I really want to get one, but i really want to ride one first. I can set one up for my feel of riding. Alls I know is I hope i make the right decision. Oh and if anyone is interested in a 04 yfz450, i will let you know later what I'm going to do with it.

ok, I finally got to go ride a KFX450R today and I liked it. I talked to the guy and he might work something out with me, I dunno, but so far I am going to try to get the money to get my front shocks rebuilt by tcs, so I can get them back, and I'm going to try to get the money to pay off the rest of what I owe on my loan for my YFZ450 and then I'm going to sell it. Because I want to get the kfx450r. I like that quad better than my yfz450. So I am going to try really hard to get that one I rode today. But it will take me time, but anyone, let me know if you need yfz450 parts, I got a post in the for sale section and I am really wanting to try to sell all the parts now, so I can get my shocks back, so anyone, I am open to any offers, let me know, please.
