*HELP* Im getting scammed!

About 3 weeks ago I sent this dude on here $250 bucks for a 440 top end. I have not receieved any parts and he is not responding to any of my communications. You have any ideas what to do?

contact his local authorities and have them take it into their hands..isnt it some sort of mail fraud?

Yes, there was another member and me and him have been in contact.He only sent him 25 bucks and i sent him 250 so I kinda mean business here. How do I check and see if my moneyorder has been cashed. I called the kid and he said he shipped the topend. How should I contact his local authorities. Im new to all this. And I really trusted everyone on this site because it seems like the quad scene is like one big family. So im pretty upset now.:ermm:

Track the money order (if it's a postal one) at usps.com. If it was, say from a gas station, call the 800 number on it, they can track it for you ;)

Welcome to the world of the dirtballs that linger in the dark corners of this site. I have been ripped a few times on here myself, and now only strictly deal with people I have known for a long time on here, or if they do paypal only. Firstly, if he shipped it, did you get a tracking number? Surely he would have one. When did he say he sent it? He needs to have proof of this. Anything else we should know? When did you send payment, when did he claim to ship?

I sent the money 2 fridays ago. He claimed to have shipped it last tuesday. I am going to track the moneyorder today (its from walmart) and see whats up with it. I called him and he said he shipped it and did not get a tracking number.

None of the majr shipping companies ship without a tracking number anymore and as far as I knw they all include the tracking number on their reciepts. Hope this turns out OK for you.

have parts shipped COD. have a money order made out and ready to go. thats about the only sure fire way of atleast getting the parts, but that dont mean you are getting your moneys worth.

i only buy parts this way or thru paypal......i have passed on good deals because the seller only wanted money orders!
