I finally made it up to Land Between the Lakes Sunday. 30 mins into the morning and this happened. I didn't run over any rocks that big, so i'm guessing one just happened to get thrown just right. lucky for me, we had just stopped at the bank of the lake and i noticed oil on my boot. checked the bike out and found this::ermm:

Oh ya, LBL is definitely rocky... Sucks it happened so soon into the ride though. What did you think of the place?

Yeah, you should be able to fix that up without too much trouble. Shame it ended your day though.

naah....nothing internal. you can definately tell that it was hit from the outside.
we had just stopped on a dead end trail at the bottom of a hill on the south peninsula when i noticed it. i didn't get to see to much of the place, but it reminded me of the river trails we used to ride in central mississippi.

i came to work this morning to find that i won a cover on ebay for $25 !!:macho
i'll be back out next weekend!

I just can't believe people ride there without a full belly skid. Mine has huge deep gashes from the rocks there.

One of my favorite places to ride :D we make the trip down aleast twice a year

i have all kinds of parts sitting in the garage. aluminum air box, different sprockets, skids, etc. that i just haven't had time to put on.
a belly skid wouldn't have prevented this though.
