Thinking of trading my quads for a 450

Hey all, I have been thinking lately of selling my 250EX and 400EX and getting a 450. I really never ride the 250 anymore, and I the 400 just seems to be getting small now that alot of my freinds have 450's. KBB value of the 250 is 2100, and the 400 is 3350, so I figure I will have to fork out maybe a grand or less to get a really good condition used 450. If I get hopefully 5,500 or possibly more to the right buyer for the 2, and then get and extra grand from work, I could have enough for an almost showrrom 450.

Worth it? I primaliry ride hillclimbs, silts, roads, and woods.

your best bet is to clean them up real good and sale them seprate on ebay.good luck

What years are the quads you are trying to sell? A 400ex really isn't worth what KBB says anymore, unfortunately. I too basically gave mine away just to get a 450. I would definitely do it though. So you are planning on $6000 -$6500 for a used 450? You can buy a brand new Honda for that price, I picked up my honda450R used for $3600, shop around and find a good used one. I'm assuming you're going Honda? I would look for an 06/0 kickstart personally.

both quads are 2003 look at my sig. I figure I would get one that is showroom condition. Because once you buy one from the dealer the price drpps dramatically, being that it is 'used', even though it might have not even been rode yet.

Not sure on a Honda, but probaly because they are the cheapest. I just looked up the prices on NEW 450s
