300ex/400ex same axle?

As the title says, will a 400ex stock rear axle fit in a 300ex?

I need a whole rear end set up for mine, bearings, carrier, axle ect. Anybody selling any good parts?

I work with someone whos got a 400ex axle, its mine if it fits.

Actually with an aftermarket lock nut on the axle it will fit.

where the axle goes through the bearing carrier the 400 is wider the bearing surfaces won't line up at all i might be wrong but i don't see it working
