I'm looking for a bike to help save gas money. I don't want to spend a lot. So, what do you have? I would prefer a Yamaha, but it's not a big deal.

Thanks,
Cody Anderson

I don't know what years you are looking for but $2000 won't get you far for a nice looking 99-05 bike like a cbr or f4i.You might be able to find an early to mid 90's 600cc bike thats in decent condition for what your looking to spend.I'm not a bike rider but I had the chance to buy a little ninga 250 off my buddy for 800 and never ended up getting it:mad:

hey cody- check out craigslist-lots of bikes in the mpls. area. How is your track, been riding much? Give me a call if you want some help keeping the weeds off of it!

Insurance is gonna be up there too, especially on a 600cc sportbike. Plus add the cost of gear, maintenance, tires (every 5k miles), etc. In the long run, bikes generally don't work out to save much money at all.

The track is AWESOME! I totally tore it down and rebuilt it. I've been riding like CRAZY! Almost 2 hours everyday. I went through two tanks of gas on Saturday, another tank on Sunday, another tank on Monday and another on Tuesday. Yesterday and today it's raining. Come out if you're not scared of huge jumps!

can I bring guy with me that I work and ride with (no its not the ferret). Just want to have another bike to put between my slow ***** and you so you dont run me over. It would be cool to compare lap times, Nate is an A rider. By the way I'm still quadless so we will have to trade for a couple laps.

Well, being that I don't know the guy. Not so much. If it were totally up to me, no problem. But the track is on my parents land and NOBODY rides out there unless I trust them. I can get you out there, no problem...

People have been getting hurt out there for like the past 3 years, so I tore down the track and rebuilt it so that it's safer. The jumps are still big, but they're much safer now. The backsides don't just drop straight off, you can actually roll jumps now. I turned the 120ft uphill double into a harder 90ft. It's 4th gear wide open for that one!

Long story short, good shized jumps but you can roll them if you need to, plus there's table tops and stuff.

understand, I'll come ride. The track sounds like fun, wish I had a quad!
