I hope you better luck with FST than my buddy. Mickey had his motor for about a year, finally got it back. Rode a couple rides and the cam let go. Shipped it back for another couple monthes, now he can't get it jetted to run right. It's a Warrior 446 also. I rode it the first time he got it back, and it was strong on mid and top.

Badass looking quad you got!

Thanks. At this point I very dissapointed with Mickey Dunlap too, I put the motor together and it is fast as hell, but I didn't do an oil change right away and the oil strainer got clogged real bad with rag fibers, breakin material and gasket maker, all this caused no oil to flow to the top end and siezed my exhaust rocker, and a good amount of wear on the jug, so I sent it back (my fault I'll admit it, I put it together) on April 9, I've called him about 5 times since then and he gives me an excuse every time that he's buzy or out of the shop. I still haven't heard from him about a price to pay for it which means he still hasn't even looked at it. I will never do buziness with him again, this is a 3hr job, and his customer service is horrible.

Yeah, my buddy complained about the customer service too! Mickey told him he only takes calls at a certain time, so that he can devote 100% of his time to 'your' motor. He had my buddies motor for 10-11 monthes, and he was only able to talk to Mickey 2-3 times during that time. A cam bearing or washer was placed in the wrong spot or left out and the cam shifted off of the lifters after a couple hours on the motor. The valves were VERY loud on it when he first got the motor initially, but Mickey said it was normall and to ignore it, said it was normal for a high lift cam, which I understand, but these were LOUD. I will always do my work myself if possible, to avoid this for one, and I can ***** at myself if it's not right.

i've dealt with FST a few times and he is very knowledgeable and has good parts. that being said, you shouldn't expect a fast turn around from him, or most other builders for that matter, since he is a one man operation mostly. also as you know, if you have the skills to assemble it yourself you should, and always always always double check everything that was done no matter what they say and if something seems wrong check it out yourself:cool:
also like 2muchquad said get a manual and a good torque wrench.

thats a sick warrior by the way. it should haul *** when its done:D

Got it back together and running, it's def fast but I'm not liking the cam, I got the Powroll full race cam, seems to have givin up a little low end plus it rev happy, I'm gonna put the Megacycle 252X1 cam back in, I really liked the way the powerband worked out on that one. Here's some new pics.
