This was a fun corner. You get into this coner and give all the gas you could and Pass everone who was to scaryed to hold the gas wide open. There was three lanes to pick.

Heres the first corner right after the start from the second moto. I'm right in the middle with yellow helmet. I had the best start of probly anybody on the gate, but the cannondales are fast as **** and I had to start in the last gate at the end that you could see in the picture. I still got third out of the turn. One of best starts. Now if I had a faster motor I would probly would of gotten the hole shot./

I had alot of fun And southwick was better than ever that day because all the pros were there. Heck I was waiting in the starting area for my moto and a guy on a yellow quad pulls up. I was wondering what **** kind of quad it was. I ask the guy what kind of quad its was, and he said it was a suzuki drz 400 baed quad. I started think and like was holly **** this doug gust. Its was kinds of surprizing to him right there.

Ridered86. you are going to race next year in the neatv. What class are you going to be in. I'm in the 4stroke novice this year. I will be race 4stroke novice and open novice now that my arms can take it. Southwick beats you up.

ridered86
10-16-2002, 07:57 PM
im a pretty proficient rider and have all the basic mods but am going for c class novice. just to get my feet wet then hope to move up, all i need now is my shocks revalved for the +2's and maybe a steering stabilizer other than my number plate is a black background i dont even now how the gate system works! mark halee, pres. of neatvmx told me but i was so freakin nervous i forgot! but seriously any tips that you have id like to hear em

Yeah I know he sold his axle. Its up in my room right now.

I cam in 18th my firts heat becasue of the bad start, two crash, ran off the track and stuck for over 2 mins in the woods, teather pulling out going down the track and somebody stalling in front of me. Yeah **** went from bad to worst. My second moto, I got a great start, and if I had a more powerful motor I would gotten the holeshot, but I got third and held it for most of the race. Then I crashed in the 3th lap. Went down to like 12th place and made my way back to 8th. My over all was 11th for the day.

Sick0

I race most of the year with a pretty stock quad and did fine on it. So you will be ahead of the game with some good mods. What kinda of shocks do you have. If you still have the stock you can't revavle them. Plus shocks will do wonders at southwick.

ridered86

i got works 3 rates with rezzies and bought em with no hope of affording a-arms but then i got em so now i think im gonna have k&k do it. they quoted me like 90 bucks. well i need all the help i can get, how did your first race work out? what should i do, go for the holeshot or just hang back? all these ?'s are buggin me. thanks

Sick0
10-16-2002, 08:11 PM
I only bought the lonestar from him. He hooked me up though. Him and Vincent(EX80) took time press on a new sproket hub or what every you call it on the new axle.

ridered86
10-16-2002, 08:14 PM
well he really gave me a deal on the arms so i couldnt refuse but i wish i got the axle, dam*. well life goes on hopefully have some more mods soon, hopin for the engine kit (416) and a few others. did you get his shocks? cause i knew he had axis?

Sick0
10-16-2002, 08:19 PM
My first race I went for the hole shot and got spanked. I was to nervus and got a bad start. I weaved my wat through and got luck made it all the way up 3rd. Than I crashed and the battery died And I couldn't start the quad back up.

If its you fist race start on the out side in the fist corner. Its way too tight in the first corner and a lot of tangle ups happen. If you are luck you can just go around them. Plus you more place to go on the out side. The inside is faster though but only for the men not scare of crashing.
Don't be afraid. Its not as bad as it looks some times. Try to stay focus and ride smart. Don't do stupid things to pass poeple. Thst is most likly how you crash.

Sick0
10-16-2002, 08:22 PM
Yup I bought his axis shocks. I went from the blown stock to triple rate axis. what a set up. I also bought his plastic and seat with the hood.

hey tanks sicko and ill def. see you at the races now down to the last question, what #? i know i can choose but i dont know which one there are so many?

Sick0
10-16-2002, 08:29 PM
just no number 40. Thats my number. pick you lucky number, year you were born, I just pick a number out of the blue. number 40 had no meaning to me before I race.

One more thing, One of the biggest problems to a rookie is arm pump. Over the winter do anything to make your forearms stronger. and buy a anti-vib stem. this will aso help. Have fun,

Sick0

Well I didn't have much are pump that whole day. I been work on my arm pump all summer and has been getting alot better. But now that that I have the steering stem, and the shocks I can ride all day full out with out get that much arm pump. I was have a bigger problom of having my shocks heating up and becoming very pogostick like. The quad was all over the place, it was hard as **** to control the thing at the end of the day.

I wish I move on to the next class. I feel like I'm stayying back a year in high school.
