don't know why i put it off so long. I haven't ridden the bike in nearly a year. i took the topend completely off, and removed the clutch sidecase cover and replaced the timing chain with the crf unit... was putting it all back together, and realized the guides were still loose on the chain... pretty much wasted a week chasing parts, and learning how to rebuild the motor all in vain, because ot was the stupid chain tensioner..... stupidest thing i've done.... this year.
