how to make money for my dream quad?

hello guys,

I am 15, and i am from ohio I play football and baseball and go river riding. I curretnly have a yamaha blaster year 2004 with a couple of aftermarket stuff on it.

Since i am 15 and am 5.8 and 180 pounds i have out grew my blaster and am looking for something bigger and am wanting to get a 400 or 450. I have 300 dollars in my wallet now and a 2004 yamaha blaster. I asked my parents and they said if I want it bad enough i can buy it with my own money. So, i have been mowin and make 20 dollars a yard but the problem is I only mow 2 yards and only make 40 dollars every week and I need a job but everywhere I go they wont hire me because they say "I dont have a realibe ride to get there" or "we have enough help" so i was wondering what you guys and ladys would suggest me to do to make money for a 400ex or a yfz or 450r. Also i have a moped because in ohio if your 14 you can ride it legaly so it would help me getting to a job.

Also I am wondering what the best quad would be for me to get. I like river ridin,trail riding, and I am interseted in getting into motorcross or xc. I had a honda 450r in mind but i dont know here is a pic of my yamaha blaster.

try gettin a bunch more lawns to mow, and sell your blaster, like on ebay or somethin since ive seen it for sale or offered for trade on here more than anything else ever. but do that and youll have a good portion of it payed for, then ask your parent to take a loan out in your name, or have em co-sign for you for a loan for the rest of it, if anything it will build your credit (given that you make all the payments) and having good credit will help you out a ton later in life

ya gotta get a job to take out a loan first. Have you tried any grocery stores? I started as a sacker and minimum wage but worked up the line quickly.

There is this one guy in my town that goes to a gas station and stands by the gas pump and people will give him the money to pay for the gas and he then pumps the gas in the car. Some people will give $2-5 tips.

You can also try working at an larger store like Walmart, target, Home Depot, Lowes etc...

When I was 15 I got a job as a Dishwasher. I know most of the Retail stores usually require 16. I think food places are usually a good start for the 14-15 age range.

mow a yard then take your 20.00 to wal-mart and buy MXvsATV UNLEASHED and it will save you a lot of money and you will have all kinds of quads to ride,by the way parts are cheap too.:D

also i'm sure your parents will give you a ride to work....especially if you're as annoying at home as you've been on this site the last couple of weeks....i don't know which has been more annoying the dumb offers you've been giving or the fact that you didn't even have the little bit of money you were offering...:confused:

Give the kid the benefit of the doubt... he's only 15 and at least he realizes that he has to work to pay for things. There are plenty of people who don't appreciate that cuz they've been givin' everything since they were young.... there are plenty of these people on this site.

I appreciate a hard working kid, especially since I was in his shoes not too long ago....

Xsr i woudnt be surprised if the ones making fun of him are the ones that dont appreciate what they have...

But sell the blaster, dont GIVE it away for liek 900 bucks, clean it up real nice and sell it for a fair amout...Cash talks, its hard to say no whne someone offers you 20 one hundred dollar bills for a 400ex, or any other quad...save save save, and be CHEAP. Any chance you get to make some cash, do it, even if the pay isnt that great.

sell your blaster, sell your moped, go down to walmart, get a $90 mongoose mountain bike, and get a 400ex....if you want a new quad that bad....the mountain bike will get you where your quad wont;)

hey guys thanks for the postive feed back and post. But, why are some of you just bashin on me? Just makes you feel good? and i think you need to get your eeyes check because i weigh no 120 pounds.

For the people who care I talked to a friend of mine and he said he needs someone to pressure wash his chicken houses and stuff get paid 9 dollars a hour 40 hours a week. So, I am ready to get workin and get a 450r. What would your recomeed a 450-r or a 400ex?

if you can get a 450r for a good price, then sure hop on it, but if you dont have enough money just yet, look for a good deal on a 400ex, ride it for a while, save more cash and then sell the EX for what you bought it for and get a 450r

I do the same thing... i mow lawns for 20 bucks a piece and ive done it for 3 years and ive almost got enough for a long travel front end on my 450R! but i think u should pet sit for neighbors(that pays well) and get other odd jobs aroung the neighborhood.

Because that 10 grand is for my college and my mom and dad wont let me get the money out for a 450r. and i have more then 10 grand because i got bit by a dog and almost diead has a little kid and got a alot of money for a settlement instead of suein them.

Take about $20 out of that "300" that you have now, and go buy yourself a dictionary kid. And next time, dont lie to everyone and say how fast your imaginary quad is.

If you want a 450 bad enough, then quit posting on here and get your *** to work, it looks like you have a farm, so see if there is anything you can do around there. If not then start washin dishes at a local resturaunt.

Alright guys my mom just gave me 500 dollars for workin on the farm the past couple of months so now i have 800 dollars and i think i am goin to go to the local shop this week and ask them how much they will give for my blaster how much u think they will give me for it the one i want is 3200 but i can probly get them down to 2800-2900

Just wanted to say that ive been washing dishes for 2 years and my next paycheck my 06 450r is completely paid for. Over $12,000 in buying it and aftermarket parts. Get a job, doesnt matter what ur doing. The money will add up quick if u save it.

grocery stores pay well. Like publix pays 6.75 starting and 7.75 on sundays. But its pretty easy to work your way up there. They also have college funds. To bad they don't have atv funds, huh. Hope it helps and 6.75 doesn't sound good but trust me its pretty cool once you get ur first 200$ pay check.

Your 450r must be the same one in quad magazine black plastics airbrushed blue electric bolts... Nice quad too bad its not yours. "/ its a shame it seems to me like you are just one great big *** poser that wont give up. Why don't you the bashing of yourself admit you lied, and get a picture that will prove the Blaster is yours and we will stop. Or you can do this knuck up put it in the for sale section priced appropiatly and then bump it occasionally and see what you get. You can prolly get 2300$ for it then find a cheap 04' 450r-3200$ 03'400ex-2500$ or IMO a 87' 250r-2900$ (Those are rough est.)

in your pictures you posted it looked like you live on a farm. So why not work for your dad a bit get some experience and go to work for anothre farmer. Youll work long hard hours but the pay will be there.
