i have +2 +1 on my 400 and there all himejoints....its it better to be a hime then a bearing....all the my himes r loose and i got some money to buy new ones i jus dont kno wat would be best to get??.....help me out

From what I here hime joints are stronger than ball joints. :confused:

Depends on the application. The way they are used on atv arms, no they are not.

Its spelled "HEIM" by the way.:p

i kno a heims r stronger.....but do they wear out faster is wat i want to know.....is it better to have a heim on the from then a bearing?

A sealed balljoint will always last longer than a heim. Thats why honda used them from the factory.

well ya.....im askin if the hiems better than the bearing on the inside of the a arm where it bolts to the frame...which is better the bearing or the hiem....(other than the hiem is adjustble)

Heims last the least amount of time, as they are open to the elements. Anything that is sealed and greased will obviously last longer. The Heims are not stronger in ATV applications btw, they are not really being used the way they were designed to be.

because they allow the castor angle to be adjusted. I myself would rather just have a median fixed castor and eliminate the heim joints.
