Honda problem

On my 2000 Honda rancher 4x4 ES, it runs but if you hold the gas steady the bike will start to die and then rev back up and keep doing it over and over. Also the Electronic shift will stick and it won't shift sometimes... anyone have any suggestions....

It sounds like a definate carburation problem i would check to see if it sucking air somewhere like the intake boot or check for a crack in the rubber boot also, You could also try pulling the air cleaner off to see if anything changes also check all the vent and overflow hoses to make sure they are clear.
