is there a way to loosen up the stock shocks on 400ex?

my quad is very stiff when i sit on it im wondering if there is a way to loosen this up?

up on the top right side of the shock is a tension screw im pretty sure if u turn it to the right it will loosen it up some

I have my fronts set to the second softest setting, world of difference. I used channel locks and a rag.

yeah the second position is the stock position on my 07 ex

now can i do this to the front or back or both? or which should i do it to??

The front are simple and straight forward, only one adjustment that takes 2 minutes. The rear is a little more complicated( more adjustments) and I don't know any thing about that.

it's at the bottom of the spring. mine were factory set at one notch down from the hardest setting.

the arrow points to where u adjust. like someone said earlier u just turn it with channel locks or something similar.
