I dont know about the us, but may 24 is one of the biggest partty weekends of the year, every one just gets hammerd, and this weekend is know as may 24 weekend because it is the long weekend befor may 24.

mitch, may 2-4 long weekend isn't a holiday monday for the US like it is for us. We get monday off to celebrate late queen victoria's birthday each year.
