itp holeshot sr tires

i was thinking of getting some itp holeshot sport/radial tires for my 400ex.....the rear tire is the same size as stock but the front tires are 21x7x10 instead of the stock 22x7x10....one inch shorter i guess....i was just wondering why they were made this way....is there some sort of performance benefit?

I noticed that my 21's turn a lil quicker than the old 22's but it could be just the difference in tires. I'd like to know more about these new holeshots also..
