Since it wasnt raining, just dark and ready to rain, I broke out a umbrella and played with some remote flash shots

I havent done a ton of this method, so they are far from perfect

Studio lights would have been more user friendly, but I dont have any and if i did I dont think I could take them in the woods:p

pappy, how old is cody? i am thinking of trading in my sons ttr 90 and getting him a quad, but im not sure what size to get him. he will be ten next month, but he is big for his age. just trying to get an idea of what size to get him.

cody is almost 14, but he is short and is more competive and safe racing the 90. he has a 300ex and rides the wheels off of it but im leary to let him race it on courses with big hills or places he will get stuck, he cant lift the quad off the ground from the grab bar(it hits him in the chin before the wheels come off the ground...lol)

if he sprouts a few inches before the 2008 season, he will be ready for the 300 at all GNCC's for the most part

here was at the first round in Florida on his 300

Most of the boys in the Youth production class have a slight advantage over the Mighty Midget:p (can ya geuss which one is CJ...LOL)

2 hours, 85 degree weather (at home it was in the teens and snow)

He hadnt been on a quad in over 11 weeks due to an injury. Right after this pisture he looked at me and said he had the best time of his life!

as far as suggestion on a quad for your 10 year old...tuff call.

if he will just be trail riding and is big for his age like your say, a 250ex might fit the bill. you know him, how he acts and if he can handle the responsibilty of a larger machine etc.

the power can be limited, but the weight cant. cody and i discussed what the outcome may have been if he had his 300 run him over like his DRR 90 did at round 4. 230 pounds versus 400 pounds, speed at wreck 40 mph versus 55+. Could have been alot uglier then just a fractured elbow and a few days of feeling like a truck ran him over. use good judgement and pick something he can learn on!

Thanks for the advice. I had been wanting to get him a 250ex, but since he has only been riding for under a year, I think I will try a 90 and as he gets better get him some mods, and then maybe a bigger machine. He has been leary to get back on his bike ever since he broke his leg last spring. (He got hit by a friend of his on a quad)

Thank you again for the advice, and I think the way you put it, put a better perspective on what I will do.

ahh that sucks!

well, id keep a reall good eye on a company called DRR and Apex. Both are bring out something shortly that will probably fit the bill for both of you, and they are priced right, handle great (dual arm mini's) and are plenty fast stock. And then you can spend as much as you like making either of them as fast as you can afford!
