2006 trx450er carb on a 04 trx450r

Has anyone put a 06 450er carb on there 04-05 450.Will the tps work the same? thanks

The carb will fit if you buy the noss adaptor, but the top of the '06 carb hits the bottom of the '04 fuel tank. I dont know if the '06 tank is different than the '04. I do know that the carb doesnt come straight out behind the head on the '06, it angles off the the left giving the '06 carb more room under the fuel tank. I emptied out my fuel tank and took a heat gun to the bottom of my fuel tank to give the carb more room. tps is the same.

Or you can use the 06-07 airbox and bigger filter.

I used a CRF carb and didn't have an issue with it hitting the tank.

Yeah, the only part that u have a prob with is where the throttle cable hooks up to the carb. the crf is lower the the trx carb.
