k so ive bin thinking of getting a dirtbike mainly to have as something my friends can ride if there atv arnt working and just a play bike to go to trails down the road cause i hate beating on my atv's tires on the road, so i was thinking about a crf150f or 230f or a 85expert or crf150r. now i could probly get either one of them that i mentioned but it will have to wait for a while and remember im not a seriouse dirtbiker just for fun. im about 5'8 125 pounds wich would be best for me and wich would keep up with a 300ex the best, o and my friend is selling a 03 drz125 would that be a good bike to start of with and to just mess around? o hes selling it for1,200

Get a used CR125 or YZ125

If your trail riding go with a TTR or another four stroke motor.. Two strokes are fun in trails but you can't use them to their full potential.

get a 125, for the money you wont get a faster bike...or get a lil 4 stroke trail bike if u find a good deal on one

at your size i would get a klx110. they are only $1699 new. klx 110 (http://kawasaki.com/Products/Detail.aspx?id=150)

thought about it more and the perfect bike that comes to mind is a goo KX100....a buddy of mine had one and i loved that bike! not too big, and about as fast as a 125

thanks for all yout responses im leaning toward the crf150 cause i think the 110 might be a lil small i dont know im gonna go to the dealer soon and i can get a brand new crf150f for like 2 grand otd , but again i highly apreciate it guys

2k out the door for a CRF150F??? That would be a crazy deal!!! The dealer would have to be losing a lot of money to sell it for that price. The msrp is $3149.00. Hell the CRF100F msrp is over 2k???

the crf150r looks like an awesome bike and there pretty damn quick. That or 125 2 stroke.
