i think the stock paper gasket is like .045 and the three layer metal is .051 - .054 compressed.

I measured my paper at 38 compresed and new at 51 so I ordered 42. well it was 38 used not in a compressed state. Im right at 195psi and run straight avgas so I think I will be fine.

i'm in the same situation with my sons quad right now. the compression is at 200 after break in and i need to get it down a bit. which head are you using? keep us posted on how the gasket works for you.

Im using stock head milled .040 down at outside tapered in 72mm dia. I just guessed thats what it needed when I went to big bore. So whats nice about the loni is he can make it .32,.042,.062 to get you close. I got one at 68mm and 72mm next race season Im going down to 68mm. I dont need the big bore for woods racing and the possibility of blowing the gasket I dont need.
