what should i do frist stock 300ex

what should i do frist to my 300ex for some more power its all stock.. i was thinking exhaust but i dont know and i have no idea if i have to jet it if i do that let me know please....

first, thing i'd get a good exhaust, there are plenty of good brands out there just depending on wat ur budget is. A good exhaust if you dont wanta spend to much money would prolly be a hmf slip on they run about 240 but if you wanta spend a pretty penny and go w/ a better exhaust i'd go w/ a curtis sparks mine cost 400 dollars. After you go w/ a good exhaust i'd get an air filter. I perfer foam filters like twin air or uni but its up to u. and u need jet it after i put both of those on.

get a 01 rapter 660 shock for the rear and some aftermarket front shocks.

what kind of front shocks are you guys useing

for my daughters race 300 I did the following in order .....

1) Curtis Sparks Full Ceramic coated exhaust and jetted the carb, removed the airbox lid, I run a UNI foam filter

2) picked up a 2001 Raptor 660 rear shock. Took it to TCS Suspensions and had them rebuild and revalve it for her wieght. They also added a 250r reservoir line which makes it easy to mount to the upright on the right side of the bike below the exhaust. Sweet install.

3) 400ex powder coated a-arms and 400ex shocks using a shock relocator kit. looking for 450r shocks that TCS will rebuild/revalve as well.

Motor mods come next..... she keeps telling me,

i have a fmf megamax2 and headpipe, you need more disc then what it comes with, its to restrictive,also recomend head pipe. i have a N2 foam filter, good for river riding or if you go in water any. I got 400ex front shocks and home made conversion kit. fast trekker tires, 6 ply 20-11x9. get some good handlebars.

I would get a FMF Powercore4, K&N Filter with outerwares and lid off , and jet it. I have all of that stuff.
