It rained here most of the afternoon but when I got home from work around 5:30 it started to clear off and Austin was wanting to ride. Here are a few shots of him doing a little mini freestyle :p He is still getting used to the DRR as he has only ridden it a couple times so far.

Yes,that was us.It is kind of a long story but I have been wanting to put him on something with dual a arms for a while. It just so happened that the deal on this DRR came along right after I put the Kasea together(which is for sale by the way).

Kenny,I used your "shoot tight" advice this evening.None of the pics are cropped at all. What you see is what was shot :D

excellent! youll get a few that are too tight for enlargements, but once you get it figured out you will start filling the frame and getting alot of keepers with no edit work!

Not to insult you, Maybe in the lowlight you could go with a slower shutter speed and pan the shot? Like I said I don't want to offend you since you do take alot of awsome shots. I take alot of lowlight shots for the military and I've done this a few times. It acyually looks neat once you get the hang of it.

it was just to dark, thats at iso 800 and panning with the flash fired at the end of a 125 shutter speed:p add in the down pour of rain and it wasnt going to work with just 1 attempt and i wasnt about to risk having my camera drenched anymore...lol

Oh OK like I said sorry if I offended you. I really do like your pictures you take.

lol..you did not offend me:p ive been a photographer since forever and I know when its a bad shot. If I went a touch higher on the shutter speed it froze the rain drops and looked terrible with the flash bouncing back off of them. (it was absolutley pouring, even the head on shots went soft because I couldnt balance the shutter speed and flash, even with output down to 1/64th to keep the rain out of the shot:p )

Cool... Did you ever do shots at hill climbs?

Pappy
05-17-2007, 06:22 AM
Not a true competition hill, however I have a 300mm 2.8 that should offer some range for that type of event, of which I do want to try and attend this year.

Cool hope to see you at one. I think I might give it a try. If I do you'll be able to find me, I'll be the guy rolling down the hill behind his quad.

keep me posted on when there are some in PA, I am watching the schedule for them here in WV but if one in PA is closer i'd just as soon hit that.

with the GNCC series, most of the hills are tight with lots of trees, so shooting at a wide open hill would be a pleasant change:p

Not sure if it has quads too but on the District 6 schedule it shows White Rose Motorcycle Club in PA having a hill climb on June 3rd.

Thats mostly bikes. I am not sure if they even allow quads.
