How do you find the volume of a cylinder. It is 3 feet around and 5 feet deep. We need to figure this out to see how many yards of cement we will need for our project. Thanks a lot.

The formula for it is V=Bh=(pie)r^2h
or: volume = base x height = pie x radius squared x the height

Just get 45 feet. You'll have a little left over.
But if your orderin a truchk, around here we order in yards so thats 15 yards.

if im not mistaken youll need 35.325

1 yard is 27 ft^3
most places have a 2 or 3 yard minimum.
If by 3 feet around you mean across or diameter then you need a about 1.5 or whatever the minimum is
