about a month ago my dads buddy gave us this 1972 kawasaki 100. we cleaned it up real nice and got it running. its 2 stroke, all original and has trail gears AND street gears at the flip of a lever. street gears top out at about 55 and trail gears will pull the front end up easily when your up in the rpms. this thing runs perfect and looks great. what do you suppose it is worth? its a blast to ride on the street. if its not worth anything we are just going to strip it down and ride it in the dirt.

this thing features a headlight, blinkers, tail/brake light, rack, horn, speedometer, and kick stand! :p we took off a few things but everything is in perfect shape! might i add this thing fires up first kick everytime:devil:

It's probably not worth a whole lot. I would just keep it and ride it as a play bike around town and ect. Thing looks really good

it will blow your mind if you new what some people would give for an old bike like that.it's 35 year's old and is in mint condition and it still runs.man your pretty lucky to have an old bike like that.i would not ride it that's for sure.i would start it every once in a while.it's a classic.anything over 25 year's old is a certified classic.nice bike.:huh :eek2:

Why would you say that? Alot of these old bikes bring thousands of dollars. Go to the AMA vintage days at Mid-Ohio, you can see it first hand. Not ALL old bikes are worth that much, and I'm not too familiar with this model, but judging from the condition, I would have to say this one is worth between $800 and $1500.

I would just keep it and ride it because everyone will always be oo'ing and awe'ing over it... Hahaha. It would be so fun to have such a different little pit bike to ride around on than anyone else... especially one looking that nice.

2001 was the last year the KE100 was sold in the US. They might still be making it for other markets [shrug]. Looks like it has changed an amazingly small amount over 30+ years. You've got a cool old bike--I like!

Here's a 2001:

looks like it has not changed that much at all in all these years it was produced. the only thing ours needs is a new air filter and its ready to ride! its been on craigs list for the past few weeks and the offers are really low, so we are going to strip it down and make it into a nice pit bike. ill post pics again once we complete all of our mods!

my friend has a rt100 like a 1989 or 1990 and i can get it for 25 bucks off him and it has a seized motor im thinking about picking it up and fixing it up for a bike to just run around on.
