Hi pats2007450er I take it you don't realise that Arctic Cat and Suzuki are the same companies... they are... so if Arctic cat built a 450 Race bike it would be exactly like the LTR 450 but with Arctic cat plastics (hence the pic above). Sorry for the let down.

No affence but i hate arctic cat. My uncle had 3 arctic cat snowmobiles and they were broken alot he went back to polaris after his brand new f6 blew the chain case after 1 month. Like said above they use all zuki and kawi motors.

actually if arctic cat made a 450, it would have a completely different engine than the ltr because they dont "share "engines anymore like they did on the 400's

ArcticCat just opened there own Engine Development & Manufacturing plant and is slowly buying shares back from Suzuki so that eventually they will be their own company.

Yes. Back in the glory days of snowmobiling, Cat used Kawi motors. Now they use Suzuki motors. I believe as of now the only motors that they actually designed are the new 800 and 1000 motors in their sleds and the 650 in their 4X4.

Cat should have never discontinued their F7 motor:(

The trouble is how can Cat make a performance ATV, they still don't have the geometry figured out on their 4x4's (front ends dive and it rolls over on you). Maybe if they have someone else design it. ;)

I agree! With my '05 F7 (Diamond drive) I am neck and neck with my cousins new (last years) MXZ800. I am scared to race Doo's new 800 though. It almost makes as much power as Cat's 1000 and its soo much lighter!

No better sled for jumping than the firecat chassis in my opinion.

ski doos new 800 is gonna be bad ***! they are 100 pounds lighter then my F7 and make 10-12 more HP!! Its good to see one company isnt scard to make a updated 2 stroke machine :D It should be better then anythign else.....ever produced

the one thing i dont like that there going to start doing on the race quads is the aluminum frame.screw that,i rather keep the extra few pounds and stay safe.i dont really care about the fuel injection either.that's me and my opinion.:ermm:
