i would buy them if you took paypal without adding the 3%...that 3% is the sellers cost and responsibility. you should suck it up.

I see that you come from a state that has sales tax. Is it more than 3% ? Im sure it is. Payment of that tax is also the responsiblity of the seller isnt it ? When you buy a car or a new atv, do they just "suck it up" ?

Unfortunately the nerfs are not mine, but a friend of mine name Ryan (my name is Steve) and he isnt willing to just eat the 3%....oh in case your calculator was having issues, 3% = $4.50

If you cant see the value in the used part thats too bad, these are really nice nerfs. Ryan doesnt race, but likes the look of them on his bike. He wanted the MX look, but the bike has never seen a day of dirt in it's life. Just like the beadlocks in my other thread...only recently did he actually buy some sand tires.

Here is a pic of his bike http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-6/1193082/Hpim0220-resized.jpg

anyone ????

sales tax from a state and a fee for a service are different. if i buy something at walmart, sales tax goes to the state government, not to cover any of wal-marts fees.

honestly, i think the price is just a tad high, with the cost of shipping and the $4.50(+ because you would also be responsible for the paypal fee on the shipping)

and whether you are the seller or a friend is, the seller still sucks up the paypal fees...why do you think paypal takes it from the seller instead of adding the fee on to what the buyer has to pay. and it is not about the $4.50. it is the principal of the thing. you/your friend are trying to receive a service for free buy making your customer pay for it. i know that places of business do this all the time, but this is a publically known fee that many accept because it is the right thing to do. i also do not buy items off of ebay if the seller states to add 3% to the fee for paypal fees.

it is a fee to the seller for using paypal. that is why i would not buy these from you/him...and honestly $150 with shipping included would be a fair price for those...

I have to agree with Speedy. Tax ok, Service charge not really apropriate.

interesting point....thanks for the bumps. With all this banter, Ive had 2 pm's. They maybe sold anyways.

I come from a state where there is no sales tax at all and many merchants offer a "cash" discount.

not the $4.50...The idea that he is trying to pass on HIS fee to the buyer...it is wrong

if you had my response, you would have seen that...

THe cost is plainly stated. If you want to purchase them, they are for sale. If you cant afford them, then youll be without.

I just think that it is funny, that those that probably cant afford them are the ones that are making the most fuss.

you honestly think i can't afford them you pretentious ***. i will not tell you what my household income is, but i can easily afford them. my 450r has better nerfs on it. these are for my wifes ex. she rides twice a year and that don't justify your high cost. if i showed pics of both bikes, you would know that 175 is nothing to me. i am on my ps3, so i don't know how to get pics from a hosting to here with it. search in pic threads, you'll find pics of them.
commenting on financial status is about as ignorant as you can get.

I posted that because if $4.50 was a make or break issue with you then you probably couldn’t afford them in anyways......get my point?

Call me what you like, but you are the one that is breaking down to use profanity when I make my opinionated judgment call about you. I could care less about your household income, but judging from the fact that your posting from a PS3 and the number of total posts that you have your wife probably makes more money than you and it's HER money that your spending on HER bike.....am I hitting close to home here?

The terms of the sale are clearly stated. Nobody asked of your opinion, but you voluntarily offered it. If you’re going to stick you nose into other peoples business, then be prepared for their opinions too and not take such offence of it.

i work 3 days a week...12 hours a day...and i earn more than my wife. this post is from my computer, which we both paid for becuase as a family, all income is ours.

as i said a few times before, the issue is not over 4.50, it is over the principal of you expecting the buyer to cover the sellers fees. these nerfs were $175 new...i know someone that has them and almost bought them mysef for my 450r. i decided to go with pro-armor for my "R". so by the time you hit up someone for 20 in shipping, 150 for the nerfs and the $5 paypal fee, the buyer just paid the price for these nerfs new...good deal for the buyer.

when i "stuck my nose" into the sale, it had nothing to do with making a personal satement about my financial well being.

when i buy nerfs, it will be our money on her bike. since i am at my computer and not sitting in the living room on the ps3, here are pics of my bikes...

so obviously i can afford your nerfs should i want them...but i don't not at your price....excuse me...your friends price...

the 400ex woudl have hipers on it too, but the wife hates them and said she would not ride if i put them on the bike

and for future reference, to get by the little predicament...just include the paypal fee in the stated price...ask for $155 instead of $150...takes some intelligence to figure that one out

and when i spend more moeny elsewhere, it will be brand new nerfs...
