yeah, it's good. I have since switched the cam to a Hot Cam, but if you want to do the work yourself, it is a good investment.

I have it and it's workin pretty good..I think a mild port job with it would be even better..

yeah I would recommend that. I just had one done a couple of weeks ago, and it is much more responsive now.

mine made me realize very quickly why everyone on here says to do chassis mods before motor. it gets my seal of aproval and marcums is a great place to deal with.

I will have to agree, the Marcums 416 kit is in both our bikes. they run much stronger than stock, but we replaced one with a Hotcams and the other still has the xr cam. Terry was very helpful in setting them up as well...
A darn good choice.

Thanks for all of the replies. I am wondering if i can just buy the kit and install it myself? I know a guy that is willing to boar out my engine locally. Thanks. And yes, i have the service manual.

That's what I did. These engines are incredibly easy to work on. If you have someone to bore the jug for you, you're set.

I agree with Vegas. It's not a difficult project at all. I bought my kit from Terry, and any question I had along the way, he was more than helpful with.
