Should be about 50-60 with honing which you will need to have done unless you have the tools to do it. I paid 50 at my local shop for a bore and honing on my 400.

What year? Pretty sure CR80's had a Nikasil bore from 1986 on up.

If your CR80 has a Nikasil bore and it's out of spec then you'll need to either 1) have it re-plated, 2) purchase a new cylinder, or 3) have a sleeve installed. I'm guessing any of those options is going to be $200+.

Is your cylinder damaged or you're just doing a routine piston replacement or ??

If it's not actually damaged then you should be fine with just replacing the piston. Nikasil coated bores are generally good for many, many routine piston replacements.

That sucks. A new one from Honda will be $225 + shipping (from Service Honda). I assume they're still available. Check out Millennium Technologies (http://www.mt-llc.com/) or US Chrome (http://www.usnicom.com/) for repair and replating services. Those are probably the two biggest names in the business but I'm sure there are others that do quality work. You might be able to find a used one on E-Bay. Trouble with that is it's hard to tell what kind of shape they're in without seeing it first-hand. Might be worth the risk though if you find one for a good price.

And of course there's always the sleeving option. But by the time you buy the sleeve and pay for installation I doubt you'd be saving much if any money. Check with a local machine shop to be sure though.

Good luck.
