That looks like sooo much fun! I rode on the dunes one time...when we were in California, we stopped at Pismo/Oceana dunes and rented 400ex's for the day...now that was fun!

That place is deffinatly on my list of places to go riding. Hopefully in the next couple years I'll be able to make a trip out there. Kinda hard for me too seeing as I'm on the other side of the country. :(

We'll throw the quad's back togather and grab everyone from the Rausch ride and haul *** down there.. We gotta have the famous pit fire again using race gas and hay from the track :blah:

Yea if you have less then 450cc 4-stroke, or less then 250cc's 2 stroke the dunes just aren't any fun. It robs to much power.

You can still have fun out there on a Warrior, 300EX, or even a Blaster. Not as much fun ;) , but still fun. Everything is just that much more of a challenge on an underpowered machine. Sometimes that challenge translates into a lot of satisfaction when the day is done.

Glad you guys like the pics!. Best riding anywhere. My Advice? Go fast and find a local like me to take you out. knarly place, Big steep dunes, stay on the gas and don't ride straight over the top of the dunes, when you reach the top turn and then continue on.

i moved from wisconsin to phoenix a little under a year ago.. been to glamis twice so far.... the riding is unbelievable. you really do have to experience it at least once in your life.

i ride the blaster around out there... wot the whole weekend... it definetly gets the job done... itd just be easier on a 450. haha

I think I'll start a new thread in the dunes section. This thread got me going through some of my dune pics....

I do have one picture from that weekend although it's nothing great. I do have a video clip of you and me racing though. I'll see about uploading it somewhere.

I would, but I've got a lot on my plate at the moment. Later this summer maybe.

BTW, I've got some pics up in the dune forum.
