i have a 04 ex and every time i turn my lights on it blows a fuse and also i can turn my lights on with my hi and low beam. So i was wondering if i have a short in my wire that is causing it to blow fuses? please help

First, Check your battery terminals. My lights were blowing a fuse when I would turn them on and got into a rev. I found that the positive termial was loose and when I reved the engine it would shake the terminal and blow a fuse. Check you ground to your frame coming off your battery. If all of those points pass take your handle bar light switch apart and check for loose wires or wires that have the coating wore off making a short. Also, does you atv have an aftermarket kill switch and if so where is it wired. Hope this helps, I think something is loose or is grounding out.
